There’s A New Pride & Prejudice Mash-Up In Town

- Personalised Novel Publisher, U Star Novels Launches Pride, Prejudice & Debauchery -

Teddington, United Kingdom – 17 November 2011 – Award winning publisher of personalised novels, U Star Novels has launched their own steamy mash-up of Pride & Prejudice.

Pride, Prejudice & Debauchery features the original text of Jane Austen’s beloved novel with all-new scenes of naughtiness, frolics and sexual misadventure taking place within the prim drawing rooms of Pemberley!

The new passages include startling details of Jane’s brief stay at Netherfield, Lydia’s steamy wedding night with Mr Wickham and a number of steamy encounters between Elizabeth and Darcy.

If you have always wanted to know what Elizabeth & Darcy get up to behind closed doors, or the x-rated parodies of the Bennet sisters described in such a proper, old-fashioned way, Pride, Prejudice & Debauchery is too delightful to pass up!

The publisher, who already allows anyone to step into Pride & Prejudice with their personalised version of the original edition, is also offering any couple to star as Elizabeth Bennet & Mr Darcy in Pride, Prejudice & Debauchery as well.

“Sex was one of the topics Jane Austen was never explicit about in her novels, but if she had, we think it would be something like this,” said Katie Olver, founder of U Star

“Our personalised version of Pride & Prejudice is exceptionally popular, so too are our personalised romantic and erotic novels which take 30 details about a couple and weave them throughout a 160-180 novel, so Pride, Prejudice & Debauchery is really a mash-up of our most popular products too," concluded Olver.

Here is your chance to join the lives of these Victorian sisters, and experience their passions and lust for yourself!

U Star Novels in Running for UK Small Business Crown | PRLog

Sep 20, 2011 - Voting is now under way to find the overall O2 Smarta 100 Business of the Year, winning £10,000 courtesy of O2.

U Star Novels, started in 2006, is the world’s leading publisher of personalised novels for adults.

Their romantic and erotic novels make couples the star of their own novel, where up to 30 different features and traits are inserted into their chosen novel, including; their names, where they live, where they work, eye colour, hair colour, favourite colour for clothing, favourite perfume and many more which are then weaved throughout a 160-180 page paperback novel starring them on every page.

The perfect gift idea for birthdays, anniversaries, Valentine’s, Christmas, hen parties and more.

U Star Classics allows anyone to step into a personalised edition of their favourite classic book starring alongside their friends, family members or even work colleagues! The plot remains the same, the only thing that changes is that it could be you following the yellow brick road, or your brother hunting vampires in the darkest depths of Transylvania, or your best friend starring in one of the best-loved romances of all time alongside her own Mr Darcy!

Commenting on their inclusion in the Smarta 100, Katie Olver, founder of U Star Novels said: “Being listed in the Smarta 100 really is an honour for us, particularly recognition for the exponential growth we have achieved over the past year.”

With book sales slumping on both sides of the Atlantic as the British and American markets experienced year-on-year declines in the first quarter of 2011, U Star Novels is bucking the trend, with 151% growth in Q1 this year.

Deborah Meaden, who was left blushing after Katie Olver’s pitch in Dragon’s Den making the star of one of her personalised novels, said of this years’ winners - “What pleases me is that these awards are championing passionate and ambitious people with brilliant ideas who’ve acted on those ideas and turned them into flourishing businesses. These small businesses and individuals are hugely important and deserve our recognition and support.”

All shortlisted companies are currently in the hands of the public, whose vote will decide the overall winner.

Voting is now underway, and U Star Novels needs your vote to be named Smarta Business of The Year. Please lodge your vote here:

Voting closes 20th September.

U Star Novels in The Guardian: Journalist spotlights U Star Novels personalised books against mixed public comments

Shirley Dent, journalist for The Guardian posted an article on that mentioned personalised novels as created by U Star Novels; the article was posted on Tuesday 26 October 2010.

Have you seen the signs too? Traditional fare – puds, mince pies, and Quality Street value tins – are creeping onto requisitioned shelves with Advent calendars stacking up at the aisle ends. Book lovers, you know what this means: The novelty book is about to come into season.

If only they were like grouse and you could walk into a bookshop with a shotgun and bag a brace without anyone having to read the blasted things. But life is never that simple. Someone, somewhere is fated to have to feign happiness at receiving The People of Walmart: Shop and Awe. Still more, if news reports are to be believed, will be pretending to chuckle over Aleksandr Orlov's "memoir".

But sometimes a publication emerges that is so offensive to, well, just about everything, that we really need to stand as one and drop our collective jaw in amazed disgust.
